Dr. Norman Wong, a professor and researcher in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Faculty of Medicine, spoke about the little known facts of hormones. Wong explained how hormones positively affect so many parts of the human body. Wong was quoted in the Calgary Herald.

Children are learning since the moment they are born but that doesn’t necessarily mean children should begin school at the age of two, like some parents are choosing to do. Instead, Patricia Tarr, associate professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Calgary, said young children should be “active learners or protagonists in their own education."  Tarr was interviewed by the Calgary Herald.

David Taras, a political scientist at the University of Calgary, shared his views on Premier Ralph Klein’s actions during his last few months as premier. The story was published in the National Post and Edmonton Journal.

Beverly Sandalack, the co-ordinator of the University of Calgary's Urban Design program, commented on Calgary’s urban sprawl problem. Sandalack says something must be done to fix the growing problem of urban sprawl. The article was published in the Toronto Star.
