Calgary writer and filmmaker Cheryl Foggo will present a multi-media look at the coded language used in the music of the slave community to provide guideposts along the escape route to Canada. 12 pm TALK: Centre for Information Security and Cryptography Distinguished Speaker Series: National Security. Sergeant Terrance Zeniuk, Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Zeniuk has been a member of the RCMP for approx 22 years. Since 2003, he has been assigned to the National Security Investigations Section and currently leads a team responsible for investigative and intelligence issues related to national security and terrorism which take place in Southern Alberta. Zeniuk will provide an overview of the national security program in Canada and the evolution of a terrorist event, with an emphasis on the need for public cooperation and vigilance.
