On Saturday Oct 15, from noon to 5 p.m. Calgarians are invited to bring their skates and enjoy a fun, free, day at the Olympic Oval.
The day begins with exciting long track speed skating action, (noon – 1:30 p.m.) featuring some of Canada’s best skaters, followed by a family skating party on the world’s fastest ice 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
Who: Canadian National Team, Canadian National Development Team, and Oval Program Athletes along with some top international skaters.
What: 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Long Track Speed Skating races and time trials, a competition that qualifies skaters for future races.
2 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Free family skate.
Where: The Olympic Oval, University of Calgary, Faculty of Kinesiology
When: Saturday, Oct. 15, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
