Top Guns fight breast cancer

Top Guns is a charitable commitee consisting of five students from the University of Calgary who will be fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society.

The project is part of a requirement for a professional and technical communications course (COMS 463) that aims to increase students' understanding of the benefits of service in the community.

The Tops Guns project will raise money primarily through the sale of aviator sunglasses, similar to the ones worn by Maverick (Tom Cruise) in the movie,  for $10 each.

All proceeds wil go to the CCS for breast cancer research. The group hopes to raise $10,000.

The students - Andy Jackson, McCauley Wanner, Ken Heinbecker, Lana Rogers and Izzy Lynch - have tables set up in MacEwan Student Centre for the week to sell the glasses.
