UCalgary team finds "switch" that sparks cancer cells to travel

A research team of cancer physicians and scientists in the Faculty of Medicine has uncovered new mechanisms essential to how cancer cells invade the brain.

Reporters are invited to attend a media briefing with a physician-scientist who is also Director of the Southern Alberta Cancer Research Institute, on Tuesday, August 14 at 1 p.m. in Heritage Medical Research Laboratory 361. The research findings appear in the August edition of the scientific journal Public Library of Science Biology.
