Bike to Work Day

April 8, 2008

Everyone encouraged to ride their bikes to work

Friday April 11 is Calgary's second-annual Bike To Work Day.

All students, staff and faculty are encouraged to join thousands of Calgary-area commuters for a celebration of cycling as a clean, fun and healthy way to get to work!

Five support stations with refreshments and prizes will be set up at main entry points to downtown and the U of C Bike Club is hosting a bicycle repair workshop on campus to help cyclists repair and perform basic maintenance on their bicycles. The workshop will run from 11 am to 3 pm outside Mac Hall between the South loading dock and The Den. Cost is $5 or free for bike club members.
