University students participate in trading competition

Oct. 4, 2013

Sixty-three University of Calgary students are set to compete in a head-to-head energy trading competition at the annual BP Canada Trading Competition hosted by the Haskayne School of Business on Saturday, October 5, 2013.

Working as an energy trader demands innovative thinking, an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to relate well with colleagues. Join us as students compete to run simulations for commodities, futures and equity securities, as well as meet BP Canada energy traders.

The BP Canada Trading Competition is the only hands-on energy trading event of its kind in Western Canada. BP Canada will award the top two student traders $1,000 along with admission to BP University, an exclusive opportunity to learn, network and experience a day in the life as an energy trader, energy market analyst or marketer.
