Schulich teams revved up for summer racing competitions

May 30, 2013

Ahead of the summer competition season, students are offering close-up glimpses of the vehicles they designed and built themselves: the Schulich off-road vehicle, Formula SAE racecar and a zero-emissions motorcycle that has an electric motor and rechargeable batteries. The Schulich Off-Road team will compete in Rochester, New York from June 6 - 9 at the Baja Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Competition; Schulich Racing will represent the University of Calgary in Lincoln, Nebraska from June 19 - 22 at the Formula SAE Competition; and Team Zeus will be the first team from a Canadian university to race its electric motorcycle this summer in the North American TTXGP, an international zero-emissions motorcycle competition in Utah.
