IOC delegation visits University of Calgary

A delegation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Medical and Scientific Department will officially name the University of Calgary’s Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre as an official research site during a closed reception to be held tonight (June 18, 2012) from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Olympic Oval.

Media are invited to the official recognition reception, beginning at 6p.m. Interested reporters are asked to contact Don Mcswiney prior to the event.

What: Ceremony to mark official naming of the University of Calgary Sport Injury Prevention Centre as an official IOC injury prevention research site.

When: Monday June 18, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Who:

  • Delegation from the International Olympic Committee sport injury research group including: Dr. Lars Engebretsen and Dr. Patrick Schamasch,
  • Members of the University of Calgary Sport Injury Prevention Research Group including Dr. Winne Meeuwisse, Dr. Carolyn Emery, Dr. Nick Mohtadi and Dr. Brent Hagel.

Parking: Media in a marked vehicle are invited park in any lot on campus free of charge
