IOC names Injury Research Prevention Centre an international research site

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Medical and Scientific Department will recognize the University of Calgary Sports Injury Prevention Research Centre as one of the IOC’s four international sport injury prevention research sites at a special reception to be held on June 18, from 6 – 7:30pm at the Olympic Oval.

The Sport Injury Research Centre is located in the Sports Medicine Centre, in the Faculty of Kinesiology, at the University of Calgary. The Centre is co-chaired by internationally recognized sports injury epidemiologists Winne Meeuwisse, MD, PhD and Carolyn Emery, PT, PhD.
