University residence gets ready to welcome students

Aug. 30, 2013

More than 2,000 new and returning University of Calgary students are set to arrive on campus Sunday for Move-in Day, with at least 250 student and staff volunteers on hand to welcome them to their new home.

"We're excited to be welcoming our new incoming students to the University of Calgary and to welcome back our returning residents," says Randy Maus, director of residence services. "This is a significant moment in the lives of first-year students and their families and we strive to make this experience memorable and successful."

Move-in Day is the prelude to Fall Orientation Week, where all new students are welcomed to campus. For more information on Fall Orientation Week, visit ucalgary.ca/orientation/fall.
