Competencies of a Researcher
The Faculty of Medicine has defined a set of competencies or skills that are critical for a student to be a successful researcher. These competencies are collaborate, generate scientific knowledge, teach/mentor, communicate, and lead/manage.

The competencies can be obtained by a variety of means including daily research, course work, research and journal club presentations, conference presentations and workshops offered in the Professional Development Program.
