Today, university graduates need more than an outstanding academic education.  To provide a more fulsome learning experience we want to set University of Calgary students up for success tomorrow, by providing opportunities for leadership growth and development in and out of the classroom. 

We recognize that leadership is demonstrated in many ways - whether involved in a student club, in athletics, volunteering in the community or through pursuing other passions. Therefore, it is our goal that every University of Calgary student graduate with a strong sense of their identity as a leader, and with the skills and passion to effect change in their communities.

University of Calgary Leadership Program

Leadership skills are essential to success in life—both personally and professionally. Foster the leader in you and take advantage of the University of Calgary Leadership Program. You will receive training in personal, team community and organizational leadership. Registration for Fall 2011 workshops will open on Friday, September 16. Find out more >


Emerging Leaders Program

Begin your experience on campus by participating in the Emerging Leaders Program, a yearlong certificate program designed for first-year students. Learn more about how you lead and prepare yourself for more senior leadership involvement as you progress through university. Find out more >


Co-Curricular Record

Join a student club, volunteer or participate in leadership opportunities on campus and have your experiences officially documented and recognized by the University of Calgary on a co-curricular record. Once you graduate, you can use your record to complement your resume or application to graduate or professional school.
