Kinesiology Research

Leading the way to active, healthy living.

Our Faculty is committed to creating a healthier society. Our research shows that the key to better health is exercise. We advocate for healthy, active, living and we research health, wellness and human performance.  We are working to create a healthier society, by preventing injury, reversing unhealthy trends like obesity and diabetes and by helping people to return to the activities they enjoy as quickly as possible after injury or disease.

Kinesiology is the study of human movement, but it entails so much more. We are the length and breadth of the human condition from the joy of competition, to the careful steps taken by cancer patients on their road back to wellness. We are in schools encouraging, coaching and teaching healthier habits and in the labs researching the mysteries of why one child becomes obese while another doesn’t.

We walk with you as you age, looking for ways to lessen the impact of crippling arthritis and to keep you active for as long as we can.

We are the science of health and life, a science so big that it spans many faculties and disciplines. We may be engineers, physicians, nurses or molecular biologists – but we share a vision to create a healthier society, and that is what makes us all Kinesiologists.

Our Faculty has many faces, with one mission, better health and an active lifestyle for everyone – Welcome!
