Current Work: | Recent completion of a five-year prospective epidemiological analysis of injury in professional rodeo in Canada. We are meeting in February to establish testable hypothesis and/or new directions within rodeo. As well, we are beginning pilot work aimed at quantifying forces created by rodeo bulls. The objective is to design protective equipment able to withstand such forces. |
Desired Outcome: | Long-term development of the ability to prevent thoracic compression injury and head and facial injury in rodeo athletes. |
