Come celebrate the start of the academic year with KICKOFF, the University of Calgary’s annual homecoming football game. This year, our Dinos will be taking on the UBC Thunderbirds—come on out and show your Dino pride!

KICKOFF marks the start of the Dinos football season and is an annual tradition at the University of Calgary.  Marking the end of Fall Orientation Week, KICKOFF welcomes back new and returning students and alumni.

TAILGATE PARTY: KICKOFF programming includes a tailgate party with “inflatable” games, carnival games including a dunk tank, and a free Spolumbo sausage BBQ. Student and Enrolment Services staff typically barbeque the sausages and serve them to students.

DINOS VS THUNDERBIRDS: At 7:00 p.m., everyone heads into the stadium to cheer on the University of Calgary Dinos as they take on the UBC Thunderbirds. A half-time show includes a “race of the rexes”, a Most Devoted Dinos Fan competition to win free tuition, and the announcement of the faculty that has won the BLING BLING competition.

Students get in for free with their student ID. Faculty, staff, alumni and community members, get your tickets now.
