Staff & Faculty Quick Start Guide

The following sections are a quick start guide to various accounts and access for employees at the University of Calgary.

IT Account

Your IT Account will give you access to various services such as UofC Integrated Calendar and Email (Outlook) service, Webdisk, AirUC, and Blackboard.

eID and My UofC Portal

eID is used to sign-on to the My UofC Portal. My UofC Portal is a one-stop access for various online services at the UofC. Some of these services include: Enterprise Systems, Employment Records, and Campus Services


Access to Administrative Windows Resources

In order to log into the computers in your office or any computer that exists on the UC_Admin domain, your IT Username has to be given additional privileges. Once access been granted, you can then map to necessary network drives.


If you need to have your UC_ADMIN access unlocked, or need a password reset, please call the IT Support Centre at 220-5555.

SecurID

SecurID provides you access to secure computing applications such as Business Administration Systems. Please note that an IT Account is required prior to applying for a SecurID. You may also need an eID if you are going to use the securID to access the Business Administration Systems via the MyUofC Portal.


To reset your SecurID, call the IT Support Centre at 220-5555.

Business Administration Systems Training

Business Administration Systems is the primary system for Finance, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources Payroll and Student Administration systems. Visit Business Administration Systems to get information on available training courses and schedules for U of C faculty and staff.
