The International History, Philosophy & Science Teaching Group is holding its Ninth International Conference at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from Sunday June 24th to Thursday June 28th, 2007.
Educators, historians, philosophers, teachers, scientists, mathematicians, and cognitive scientists from over 30 countries will engage with theoretical curricular, and pedagogical issues in contemporary science education.
The International History, Philosophy & Science Teaching Group aims to improve science education by having theory, curriculum, and pedagogy informed by the history and philosophy of science.

CONFERENCE PAPERS OR PRESENTATIONS
The deadline for Call for Papers (April 15, 2007) has now come to a close.
Do not forget that Early Registration is due April 30, 2007.
Notification of acceptance will be provided to delegates. Participants who have not submitted abstracts by May 22nd, 2007 will NOT be included in the printed program.
Final Papers;
Should not exceed 2,500 words in length. They must include an abstract (150 word maximum), along with name, address, and email of all authors. All papers will be subject to peer- review.
Extra copies of papers (20-30) should be brought to the conference for distribution at presentations.
Conference Presentations:
Presentations should include time for questions and discussion and should not exceed 30 minutes in length.
Journal Publication:
The journals Interchange: A Quarterly Review of Education, the Journal of Educational Thought, and Science & Education may publish selected papers to be presented at the conference.
Papers must include an abstract
(150 word maximum).
For those papers to be published by Interchange or the Journal of Educational Thought, the formatting guide set out in the American Psychological Association (APA),
5th edition, 2001 should be followed.
Papers for Science & Education should follow the formatting for that journal.
All papers should include a separate page detailing names of authors, full mailing addresses, and email contacts.
