RoboCup

RoboCup (www.robocup.org) is an international robotics competition founded in 1993. The aim is to develop autonomous socer robots with the intention of promoting research and education in the felds of artifcial intelligence, software, computer, electrical and mechanical engineering. The name RoboCup is a contraction of the competition's full name, “Robot Soccer World Cup”. The competition has attracted many nations to compete. There are already a few Canadian teams including UBC, and U of Manitoba who have qualifed in 2009.


U of C Team?

The U of C IEEE Student Branch Robocup team is named RoboCowboys and has many aspects involved such as the development of artificial intelligence, software, computer, electrical, and mechanical components. Gain knowledge and experience useful for future projects as well as improve your CV in this up and coming project! This project bring what students have learned in class to actual practice, not to mention it is fun doing it!

The Robocup team is sponsored by the IEEE Canadian Foundation and the Schulich Student Activities Fund
