How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in the graduate programs offered by Graduate Programs in Education at the University of Calgary.

Applications for PhD, EdD, MA, MSc, MEd and MC programs starting in 2013 are now open.  Access to the online application is available from the Faculty of Graduate Studies Prospective Students page or click on the yellow APPLY now button.

Supporting documents (i.e., Statement of Intent, CV etc.) must be uploaded to the Student Centre through myUofC after the application has been submitted.  Applicants will receive a confirmation email with instructions and information regarding this process upon completion and submission of the onine application.

Official transcripts must be mailed or couriered to:

Applications must be submitted and supporting documents received by 4:30 pm MT on the deadline date for each program 

You will receive notification in writing from GPE as soon as possible after a decision regarding admissibility is reached, normally 10-12 weeks after the application deadline date.

Request for Advanced Credit must be made at the time of application for admission to a course-based program (MEd, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate).

Please note that admission to GPE programs is highly competitive. Selection of applicants is based not only on Grade Point Average (GPA) but also on such factors as the ability to match applicants with faculty members, strength of references and experience.
