The Gaudet lab studies organ development, using the pharynx of C. elegans as a model for this complex developmental process. We are using a combination of bioinformatics, genetics, and molecular biology to identify regulators of pharyngeal development.
We are one of five C. elegans labs that are part of the Calgary Worm Group. We are also a member of the Genes and Development Research Group (GDRG), a group of investigators with a shared interest in developmental biology. If you are interested in pursuing developmental biology research, check out the GDRG and its member labs - there are lots of great opportunities for students and post-docs!
