On May 1, 2013, the University of Calgary lost a bright, dedicated student-athlete, Daniel Lamola. The Dinos and the campus community extend their deepest sympathies to Daniel’s family and his many friends and teammates. Daniel, 19, was a second-year student in the Faculty of Arts, and a defensive lineman on last year's Canada West-champion Dinos football squad.

A memorial service for Daniel will be held on Friday, May 10 in the Jack Simpson Gym at the university. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
