Facilities is a full-service portfolio committed to responding proactively to the needs of the university community and delivering best-in-class professional and technical services. The scope of services provided by Facilities, and the service level expectations to be met, are outlined in the Service Level Agreement between Facilities and our university customers, and reflected in the standards listed below. Service levels are reviewed annually and any changes to the agreement are shared.
Facilities also maintains the University of Calgary's design standards - mandatory design requirements - which reflect the planning, design, construction and maintenance expertise of university personnel, and are to be applied to campus designs relating to new construction, renovation, renewal, and maintenance projects.
A commitment to quality assurance through standardization allows us to continually improve on delivering best in class service to our campus community in support of learning and research. Our Quality Management System seeks to systematically verify that the products and services we provide adhere to standards and best practices as described by the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA) and similar industry standards/codes as applicable.
All quality assurance/control programs follow the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001 Standard.
