Emergency Wardens

Emergency Wardens - wear an orange vest with "Emergency Warden" identified on the back.

They are responsible to evacuate their assigned areas and to report the status of the evacuation to the Building Senior Emergency Warden, including any problems encountered such as non-ambulatory persons requiring evacuation and their location.

After the evacuation is complete they are assigned to control exit doors to prevent re-entry until the "all clear" is announced.

When directed by the Incident Commander or Building Senior Emergency Warden, they may be asked to move evacuees further away to another specified site or undertake other actions as required.

Emergency Wardens will direct all media inquiries to the Incident Commander or the Assigned Spokesperson.
