All filenames in hypertext notes for Lynx should have an "x" prefix except for the hyperdex file. All filenames in hypertext notes for Netscape 1.1 - 1.22 should have a "z" prefix.
Notes on frames version:
- Links external to this article are marked with an asterisk. In the frames version, external links spawn a new window on top of this article. Links which are not external appear as "internal link" in the status bar along the bottom of the screen when cursor is held over them.
- Regarding the "back" button, in Netscape version 3.0+ it can be used to move to a previous pagelette within a document which uses frames, however in version 2.X it will take you to the site (i.e. URL) prior to the entire framed document. If you're using version 2.X, instead of using the "back" button to take a step back within a document which uses frames, right click over the specific frame/pagelette and click on the menu item "back". From Netscape 3.0 documentation: "New Navigation for Frames and the Back button: Now, when you click on a link that updates a frame, pressing the Back button returns you to the previous state of the frame. Previously, pressing the Back button ignored updates within a page's frames and always returned you to the previous whole page (further back than you probably wanted). In short, navigating among frames now works on a per frame basis: pressing Back revisits the previous frame and pressing Forward revisits the frame ahead."
