We are always interested in more members - the more people participating in making this world more eco-friendly, the better. Membership is $5 per academic year.

If you are interested in joining, please come to our table during clubs week, email us as ecoclub@ucalgary.ca, or attend a meeting.

Are you interested in becoming an executive for the Eco Club? Enthusiastic and dedicated individuals are always needed. Check the blog for any recently posted executive openings.

Eco Club 2011-2012 Executive Positions

VP Campus

• Manages inter-club relations and develops collaborative efforts between the Eco Club and
other SU Clubs
• Writes articles for the Gauntlet, writes weekly TLF, and sends other promotional media to
NUTV and CJSW to spread the word about Eco Club events
• Attends weekly exec meetings and all member meetings whenever possible

VP Communications

• Manages Eco Club Facebook page and website
• Works with VP Advertising to strengthen advertising campaign for each event
• Gathers articles/websites/videos/etc to send out to members to raise awareness about
environmentally related topics (such as water use, new technologies, government policies,
and more)
• Attends weekly exec meetings and all member meetings whenever possible

VP Events (3x)

• Initiates ideas for member events and plans weekly meetings
• Plans and coordinates the execution of major events
• Writes volunteer descriptions and manages volunteers
• Works with VP Advertising to create an effective advertising campaign for event
• Attends weekly exec meetings and all member meetings whenever possible

VP Internal

• Takes rough meetings minutes that can be sent out to other execs and can be presented at
member meetings to inform members of the goals and plans of the Eco Club
• Manages member sign-up and membership fee collection
• Helps to complete the end of the year report
• Attends weekly exec meetings and all member meetings whenever possible
