The Dino Women's Volleyball Club is fortunate enough to have fabulous community support. Whether it be corporate sponsorship, endowment funding or financial support, the Calgary community is an irreplaceable stakeholder in what we do.

Our current focus is to reach our $1,000,000 goal for the University of Calgary Dinos Program. Below is information on endowed funding, how to get involved and who it will affect.

Over the past year, significant contributions have been made towards the goal of establishing a $2million endowed scholarship fund for the Women's Volleyball Program at the University of Calgary. This goal was identified as one of the key priorities in establishing the long-term viability of both the Varsity program and the Dino Women's Volleyball Club. Once fully funded, this initiative will lead to enhanced opportunities for both the Varsity Team and the Club Teams, through the reallocation of annual fundraising dollars that are currently dedicated towards yearly scholarship commitments. The annual fundraising efforts will continue, with the proceeds being committed to enhancement of competitive opportunities, development and retention of coaches, and the reduction of user-costs for club participants.

These "named" funds have been created with a minimum investment of $20,000 each and have endowed in excess of $275,000 thus far. With a great portion of these funds currently in a queue to be matched by Alberta Government programs, these contributions are set to grow to a total of over $500,000 within in the next three years.

The endowments will provide perpetual scholarship awards for the athletes of the University of Calgary Women's Volleyball Program and are a permanent tribute to the individuals and businesses after which they have been named. Through the support of the endowed scholarships, varsity student-athletes are able to focus on building a legacy of success on the court and in the classroom, while the donors have made a significant investment in creating a legacy for our local community and the entire Dinos Program.
