Our goal for 2009 was to build a $30,000 charity fund where every dollar will be put back into the hands of the teams that attend the Best of the West event. Every team attending will select a registered, non-profit, women's health charity and will compete for their cause.
Instead, we reach $50,000 where a minium of $2,000 was awarded to every team, up to a maximum of $2,500 for the tournament winner. The charity fund is built through the support of local corporate sponsors, family businesses and/or personal donations. Every participating donor received a charitable tax receipt and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of women across Canada.
