Celebrating 20 Years of Sport Excellence Post Secondary Scholarship

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by Natalie Schwartz, the President of the Junior Dinos Volleyball Club to Junior Dino 18U athletes when they successfully sign with a Canadian University or College post-secondary volleyball program. *Currently limited to Junior Dinos Graduating Class of 2013 only.

Alexa Gray (18U) and Beth Vinnell (16U) recognized as the 2012 Mikasa Athletes of the Year

Congratulations to Alexa Gray (18U) and Beth Vinnell (16U) who were named AVA's Athletes of the Year.

Alexa had a tremendous season leading her team to a second place finish at Provincials as well as a third straight National Championship! Alexa was indisputably the National tournament MVP. Alexa will continue her post secondary volleyball career this fall at Brigham Young University in Utah.

Beth Vinnell was a force to be reckoned with this season on the CWDino 16U Red team. She helped her team win an AVA Provincial Championship as well as capturing a silver medal at the 16U National Championship. Beth was recognized at both the provincial and national tournament as an all-star. Congratulations Beth on your accomplishments thus far!

Reid Brodie recognized as the 2012 Mikasa Coach of the Year (16U)

Reid Brodie was honored with the 2012 Mikasa Achievement Award, Coach of the Year.

Reid Brodie began the 2012 club season as head coach of the Dinos 16U Red team, however was forced to transition to assistant coach halfway through the season because of the birth of her first daughter, Collins. At this point, Chad took over as head coach, and the team went on to capture the Alberta Volleyball Provincial Championship. The team went 55-6 on the season – including exhibition, AVAs, Best of the West, VC National Championships, and came up only one point short of winning the National Championship in Toronto.
