
Both of my parents are U of C alumni, my grandparents live in Calgary and I know quite a few people up here so coming “home” was an obvious choice for me.
The absolute best thing to do, as a freshman, is to be open to new clubs and activities. The best way to meet new people is to participate in the many offered activities, clubs, and volunteering opportunities around campus.

With many electronic resources, the library holds the answers for many questions you might stumble upon during your university career.
Some times paper and pencil are a much better option than a computer. The internet is the worst distraction in the classroom, and paper can help clear the mind and assist you in learning much more efficiently.
Meet your professors during their office hours, it might be a little bit awkward at first, but they can help you with everything you need.
