Our Services:
We offer confidential counselling services for registered University of Calgary students as well as consultation to U of C faculty and staff. Individual counselling, groups and educational workshops are available to students facing a wide range of personal, career and academic issues. We also offer fee-for-service career counselling to prospective students and alumni. We are committed to continued excellence in service and training. Services are provided by psychologists and a wide variety of trainees under the supervision of qualified staff members.
Here are some of the ways we can be of assistance:
- Highly trained and caring counsellors, knowledgeable about student concerns and ways to help. (Did you know the 4 most common concerns that students seek counselling for are depression, anxiety, self-esteem and stress?)
- An on-call counsellor available each day for initial intake sessions. These can be booked or there are drop-in times (available on a first-come first-serve basis).
- Lots and lots of excellent workshops on topics all the way from Procrastination: How Not To to Tools for Overcoming Procrastination to Choosing a Major and Life After Graduation.
- Resources on the Web – discover the 7 Habits of Successful Students, Exam Skills Workbook, Career Decision-Making Strategies, and more!
Fees:
Counselling appointments are free for currently registered University of Calgary students. For information about late cancellation/no show fees, please refer to the Fee Schedule.
Clients may be charged fees for , materials, workbooks or psychological testing. See descriptions of the various programs under Personal, Academic and Career Counselling for applicable fees.
