Before downloading the players and viewers, click here to access the browser test to make sure your browser has met the requirements for accessing web services at the University of Calgary.
Players and Viewers
The following table provides links to the most common players and viewers that students will come across during their studies at the University of Calgary. To test if you have each plug-in, player, or viewer installed and working, click on Test Sample. This will bring up current google samples, which you will want to click on and test. If one does not work, attempt another. If neither are working, click on the Download Here link in the corresponding table row.
If you had to download and install a media plug-in, then you may want to click on the Test Sample again to make sure that media type plug-in installed correctly.
NOTE: If you are already using Microsoft Office 2007-2010, you will not require the viewers for Word, Excel and PowerPoint. However, If you are still using Micrsofot Office 2003, its reccomended that you download the compatability pack for Microsoft Office.
