Technology plays an important role in the successful completion of your academic studies at the University of Calgary. If you do not have the proper equipment, compatible software, and a reliable service provider, you may become frustrated and spend too much time on technical issues when you should be spending that time on course work.

Testing your computer's current configuration and making the necessary improvements will help to optimize your computer for working with online material. To test your current web browser, click here.
E-learning involves sharing, uploading, and downloading software that, when infected with viruses, might be harmful to the entire system. Therefore, some simple actions will be required from you in order to prevent computer viruses and other forms of destructive software. For more information on virus protection, click here.
IT Computing Account
This account will give you access to various IT services, such as U of C Email, Webdisk, AirUC Secure, Blackboard, IT Compute Labs, and Anti-virus Software.
eID and MyUofC
Your eID is used to sign in to MyUofC. MyUofC is a on-stop access portal for various online services at the University. Some of these services include the following: Student Centre, Blackboard, Webmail, Degree Navigator, Contacts & Advisors, and Campus Recreation

All University of Calgary students will be using their Student Centre to manage course registration. This includes enrollment appointments, as well as adding, dropping, or swapping courses.
