 The centralized Chemical Instrumentation Facility is located in rooms SB134 & SB132 on the main floor and SB 034, SB 035, SB 038 and SB 040 in the basement floor of the Science B building and room SA 219 in the Science A building.

Operator training

Sessions for NMR, EPR, FT-IR and Mass Spec. are scheduled on a demand basis. Please enter your requests with availability information on the form provided in SB134

NMR Booking

Booking of NMR time slots for CFI600, DRX400 and AMX300 systems can be requested on the forms provided in room SB134.
Weekly schedule for using these NMR systems is prepared on every Friday afternoon.
In addition, NMR time slots for CFI600, RDQ400, DRY400, UGI400 & DMX300 systems can be booked in advance through the FACES system. Contact facility staff to set up an account. The FACES system requires a Java plugin which may need to be installed from java.com for Windows XP users.

Please note that:

• Users can ONLY book time slots within 24 hours of the anticipated usage
• Users can ONLY book 1 daytime, 1 evening and 1 overnight time slot
• Users are allowed to delete their own online bookings
