Chemistry Glass Shop

The Chemistry glass shop is operated by Mark Toonen and provides services for the Department of Chemistry, as well as the Faculty of Science and the whole campus.

• Borosilicate and quartz glass tubing of various sizes
• Ground glass Joints, Tapers, Sockets, Balls
• Stopcocks, Needle valves, High vac valves
• Round and flat bottom flasks, Erlenmeyer flasks, and Volumetric flasks of various volumes.
• Fritted ware of various porosity
• Special order materials upon request

Services Offered

• Design and fabricate custom research equipment
• Manufacture and repair of borosilicate and quartz laboratory apparatus - including condensers, distillation units, quartz dewars, and complete vacuum systems
• Consult on the design, manufacture and/or purchase of laboratory glassware
