Leadership and Advisory Board Membership 2009-2010

 The  Leadership and Advisory Board for 2010-11 will be confirmed by September, 2010. The following individuals were the members of the Leadership and Advisory Board last year:

 Dr. Keith Archer  President, Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education, Professor, Political Science, University of Calgary and Director of Research, Banff Centre. He is a strong and experienced administrator with a background and interest in political institutions, Bill 43 - Alberta's Postsecondary Learning Act, politics and civil society

 President of the Student Union, University of Calgary will provide a clear understanding of and voice for the 30,000 undergraduate students at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Lynn Bosetti Professor in the Educational Leadership , University of Calgary . A scholar of Higher Education Administration and a former administrator herself, Lynn is also a researcher currently studying change management and university Presidential leadership.

 President of the Graduate Students Association, University of Calgary to provide an informed, experiences and knowledgeable voice on graduate students and their issues.

Dr. Heather Cummings, Adjunct Professor in the faculty of Education at the University of Calgary  and Director, Student Experience at Alberta College of Art + Design, Dr. Cummings brings us academic and student services experience from both Canada and the U.S.

Dr. Garnet Grosjean Professor, Faculty of Education, UBC , Academic Coordinator of the EdD Leadership and Policy Program, Coordinator, Intercontinental Masters program in Adult Learning and Global Change, Dr. Grosjean has been a Faculty Associate (for more than 12 years) in the Centre for Policy Studies and Training at UBC . He is also a respected administrator and researcher on Experiential education, Adult Learning strategies, Impacts of Globalization, Policy Issues in Leadership and Training, and developing Communities of Practice in online programs.

Dr. Daniel Lang Professor, Senior Policy Advisor to the President, Coordinator of the Program in Higher Education in the Department of Theory and Policy Studies, OISE/UT, University of Toronto, Dr. Lang is an experienced and leader and administrator. He is also a respected a scholar and educator in the area of financing for universities and the relationship of economic indicators to University enrolment and participation, and is associate with the Centre for the Study of Students in Postsecondary Education (CSS) at the University of Toronto established in 2007. 

Dr. Peggy Patterson, Director, CCSHE Professor, Co-coordinator, Higher Education Leadership and former Associate Dean, Graduate Divison of Educational Research at the University of Calgary, and Associate Vice President (Student Affairs) at the University of Calgary , Dr. Patterson seasoned university administrator and educator with research interests focused on postsecondary institutions, students, and student affairs and services.

 Dr. Gayla Rogers, Professor, Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary, an active administrator, scholar and teacher who has transformed the Faculty and the experience of learners during her 2 terms as Dean, which ended in June 2010.

Dr. Ian Winchester, Professor, Faculty of Education, University of Calgary - former Dean of the Faculty of Education, education professor and higher education leader at the U of T, Dr. Winchester is a respected leader and researcher with eclectic interests in the history and philosophy of higher education, the theory of knowledge and the history and philosophy of science.
