Spring/Summer 2012 Intramurals Leagues

Basketball – Mens & Mixed Competitive

Intramural Sports offers basketball players a wide selection of divisions to choose from.  Play in the men’s competitive leagues.  All leagues are tiered to allow you to select the type of competition you want. Basketball leagues are offered in the fall, winter and summer semesters.  In the fall and winter players can participate in men’s, women’s and mixed leagues.  NEW this summer mixed competitive division

• Scheduled for 10 Games
• Officials, Supervisor/First Aid
• Each team receives a set of 10 jerseys
• Standings & Playoffs
• Minimum 2 players of the opposite gender must be on the court at all times(mixed league)

Ball Hockey

Intramural Sports offers ball hockey players a wide selection of leagues to choose from.  Ball hockey leagues are offered in the fall, winter and summer semesters.  Players can only play in one division.

Ice Hockey

Intramural Sports brings back a competitive noncontact hockey league for the Summ semester.  Players are only allowed to play on one team per division.  All players must wear a CSA-approved helmet with full cage. Individual goaltenders are to register in the goaltender codes.

• Supervisor/First Aid
• Standings & Playoffs

All teams are required to provide their own set of matching jerseys, must be numbered

Soccer - Outdoor, Men's Competitive

Intramural Sports provides a competitive men’s soccer league for those players looking for a more challenging game.

• Scheduled for 12 Games
• Officials, Supervisor/First Aid
• Standings & Playoffs
• Shinguards mandatory
• No slide tackles

Soccer - Outdoor, Mixed, Recreational

Emphasis is on fun and sportsmanship. There are no officials or standings in this league.

• Scheduled for 12 Games
• No slide tackles
• Supervisor/First Aid
• Shinguards mandatory
• Minimum 3 players of the opposite gender must be on the field at all times
• “A” division is for intermediate to advanced skill level
• “B” divisions is for beginner to intermediate skill level

Ultimate - Mixed

Ultimate is recreational in nature as players officiate themselves. Ultimate is fast, fun and offers great times for both beginners and experienced players. Games are played with 7 players per side. No equipment necessary. Sign up a team or as an Individual.

• Scheduled for 12 Games
• Minimum 3 players of the opposite gender must be on the field at all times
• Supervisor/First Aid

Volleyball - Mixed Competitive

Competitive leagues are designed for players with experience in the sport of volleyball. Divisions are tiered so that games are competitive for all.

• Scheduled for 10 Games
•  Best of 3 format
• 2 games per night
• Minimum 2 players of the opposite gender must be on the court at all times
• Self Officiated
• Supervisor/First Aid
