Structure & Organization

The Clark H. Smith Brain Tumor Center is organized under the auspices of the Southern Alberta Cancer Research Institute (SACRI). SACRI operates under the direction of three founding partners:



1) The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary.

2) The Tom Baker Cancer Centre (the main cancer treatment centre in Southern Alberta operated by the Alberta Cancer Board).

3) The Calgary Health Region.   

The executive committee and the Director of the Smith Center, currently Dr. Greg Cairncross, work closely with these partners to support Smith Center research programs and coordinate our activities with those of other provincial cancer and health research institutions.
