Fraud Policy

The University of Calgary recognizes the importance of protecting the organization, its operations, its employees, and its assets from the consequences of fraudulent activity and has implemented a Fraud Policy.  The Office of the Internal Auditor is the Implementation Authority of the Fraud Policy.  

University of Calgary employees have a responsibility to report fraudulent activity to the Director of the Office of the Internal Auditor who has a responsibility to receive and investigate the allegations of fraud.  Specific duties and procedures are outlined in the Fraud Policy.

To report fraudulent activity, contact Peternela Scharf, Director of the Office of the Internal Auditor at (403) 220-4188.  The University of Calgary has also contracted with ConfidenceLine, an independent service that puts callers in touch with trained professional assistants when help is needed with sensitive information in the workplace.  ConfidenceLine will forward reports of fraudulent activity to the Office of the Internal Auditor.  You may contact ConfidenceLine at 1-800-661-9675.
