North West Territory Barrens

The mainland interior of the Northwest Territories and modern day Nunavut is a sparsely populated region with few permanent settlements. Traveling through the barren interior by dogsled is a demanding and dangerous task. Only a limited amount of supplies could be carried and game was largely relied on to sustain the patrol.
