Honorary Degree Ceremony for Dr. Robert Thirsk
On July 8, 2009, Canadian astronaut Robert Thirsk became the first professional astronaut to ever receive an honorary degree while on orbit. Roughly 400 km above Earth, Bob was granted a Doctor of Laws honoris causa.
