University of Calgary Alumni Stampede Event - July 9, 2010

First alumni Stampede event a great success

University President Elizabeth Cannon welcomed over 300 alumni, faculty, staff and guests to our first Stampede event on July 9, 2010 at the Rangeland Tent. Attendees were delighted to hear from ChickWagon and world professional chuckwagon driver Rick Fraser and we were honoured to welcome alumnus and Stampede CEO Vern Kimball, and ChickWagon president and alumna Vanessa Laine-Plamondon. The Lee Taylor Band rocked the Rangeland Tent with the sounds of Johnny Cash and many country music legends. We look forward to this becoming an annual event!
