UCalgary alumna Marcy Crandle, BA’03, is an Advisor with the Engineering Career Centre at the University of Calgary, where she supports students in their career preparedness through skills coaching and facilitating valuable engagement opportunities for students to connect with engineering and industry professionals. Marcy completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Calgary, Career & Academic Advising Certificate and Newfield’s Ontological Coach Training programs. She brings four years of experience working at the university in the sphere of career advising.

Meet the webinar leaders

Matthew Geddes, master’s career development specialist with UCalgary Career Services

UCalgary alumnus Matthew Geddes, MSc’92, BSc (Eng)’82, has more than 17 years’ experience in the non-profit sector as a vocational specialist, along with three years of experience as an engineer. He is certified in interpreting the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory and, as a lifelong learner, is currently pursuing a coaching designation. Matthew, whose MSc is in educational psychology, brings a diverse background to the table, allowing him to have a unique approach to supporting individuals in achieving their career goals.


Carol Wert, manager of Career Programs with UCalgary Alumni

Carol Wert has worked for UCalgary for 11 years and in the field of career development for more than 15 years. She is a Certified Career Development Professional (CCDP) and a Certified Training & Development Professional. Her experience also includes coaching, leadership, team development, facilitation and program development. Carol is inspired by the potential of others and considers herself fortunate to work closely with individuals and teams to help them achieve their goals and pursue what is meaningful to them.
