2012 Arch Awards nominations now open

Incredible contributions. Life-changing discoveries. Great accomplishments. Innovative ideas.

Nominations will open soon for the University of Calgary Alumni Association’s 2012 Arch Awards, honouring the achievements of two outstanding alumni with the Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) and Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award, as well as a promising future alumnus with the Future Alumni Award. Please note that our nomination process has changed for 2012.
All new nominations submitted in 2012 and going forward will only be valid in the year they were submitted. Past nominations received in 2010/2011 will remain valid for this year, providing they meet the eligibility criteria for the selected award.  

 
2012 Arch Award nomination essentials:

• Complete the one-page nomination form, providing your current contact information and that of your nominee 
• If you wish, you may also attach a separate document answering two questions:

1. How has the nominee’s reputation, achievements and contributions brought honour and prestige to the University of Calgary?
2. How has the nominee demonstrated excellence in their professional discipline, community or public service?

• You are also encouraged to request and submit two letters of support for your nominee, however, this is not mandatory.

Important dates

• Nomination deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, 4:30 p.m.
• The Arch Awards committee will use this initial application to evaluate all nominees and create a shortlist of candidates, which will be voted on by the Alumni Association board of directors in late March 2012.
• The 2012 Arch Awards will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31, 2012.
