Health & Recreation Centre, run by the Faculty of Kinesiology, offers many instructional and wellness programs for students and the community at large.
All full-time and part-time students have full access to a wide range of world-class recreational facilities through the Health & Recreation Centre. You can work out between classes at the Fitness & Lifestyle Centre or play a game of racquetball, squash or tennis at the Racquet Centre or perhaps you’d prefer a swim at the Aquatic Centre, free skate during public skating times at the Olympic Oval or climb on our indoor Climbing Wall. Whatever your choice, these facilities will become a memorable part of your university experience.
Are you more team oriented? Get involved with an intramural sport team, with more than 50 leagues to choose from in both competitive and recreational divisions.
How do you get fit? At the U of C, our students have access to a wide range of world-class recreational facilities through the Health & Recreation Centre. If you prefer more of a structured work out, you can take part in a variety of fitness classes. We’ve got everything from cardio and spinning to things like belly dance, or go for a free skate at Olympic Oval. Or practice for your summer adventures by climbing our indoor climbing wall at the Outdoor Centre.
