Open Studies Students

An Open Studies student is one who is permitted to take regular university credit courses, but who is not admitted to a program leading to a degree or diploma. (This category was formerly referred to as "Unclassified Students".)

Open Studies students are 18 years of age or older and takes courses for professional development purposes, to upgrade in preparation for admission to a degree program, fill in missing requirements needed for graduate school or just for personal enrichment. Open Studies students are limited to three courses per session to a normal maximum of 10 courses.

Open Studies students must complete an Open Studies Student Application and Registration form, which is available from Enrolment Services, and must submit official transcripts from all high schools and/or post-secondary institutions attended.
