Student Exchange

A student exchange is another option for your to pursue your love of global experiences while working to complete your degree. You may study abroad for one or two semseters and receive transfer credit toward your degree without having to pay foreign student tuition. The only hard part will be the decision of where to go. We have 150 exchange agreements with universities in 40 countries.

Semester Abroad

Semester programs give you the chance to spend one semester taking University of Calgary courses taught by local professors in India, China, the Czech Republic, Spain and Thailand. You pay tuition and fees to the U of C as well as a program fee.

Group Study Programs

Experience your U of C courses abroad with your entire class. Spend three to six weeks during the Spring or summer session travelling with a U of C professor, taking three of four U of C courses on site. If you would like a shorter experience, you can also participate in an intensive one week block course abroad. The great news is that you pay U of C tuition and fees - and program fees cover all of your travel and accommodation cost.

Travel Grants and Awards

The U of C has a number of travel grants in amounts from $500 - $1500 to assist students with adidtional costs related to study abroad. In 2007/08, over $250,000 was allocated to students going abroad.
