If you are are completing or have completed your twelfth year of education at an American high school, you are required to submit a transcript showing your complete high school record and proof of obtaining a high school diploma. We will use a combination of senior level, university preparatory, honors and/or Advanced Placement (AP) courses to determine your admissions eligibility. In addition, we require either ACT (minimum score of 24) or SAT (minimum score of 1100 with minimum scores of 500 in the Math component and either the Critical Reading or Writing components) test results.
Please note that in lieu of appropriate in-class courses we will accept SAT Subject Test results for admissions consideration. An acceptable score is considered by the University to be no mark below 400 with a minimum average of 500 over the required tests. Faculty of Nursing applicants are required to present an average of 520 or higher. However, since applicants compete for positions primarily on the basis of academic merit, higher averages will normally be required.
The ACT is administered by ACT and the minimum requirement for ACT results is a composite score of 24.
All test scores and an official high school transcript showing that the high school diploma has been conferred must be received by August 1.
Either the ACT or SAT Reasoning Tests are required for admission to all programs. For the SAT the higher score of either Critical Reading or Writing will be considered in addition to the score in Math of the SAT Reasoning Test. For admission purposes, Senior Level University Preparatory courses and SAT Subject Tests are grouped as follows:
