Meet Abe Kohandel.

In his third year of Electrical Engineering at the Schulich School of Engineering, Abe's research involves testing algorithms for the navigation of robots. Translation? His research in robotics could one day be used in rescue situations where it may be too dangerous to send a worker in to help. Learn more about Abe and his research in robotics.

Meet Laura Leif.

A fourth year English major in the Faculty of Humanities, Laura is involved PURE: Program for Undergraduate Research. Her research revolves around looking at the sense of place in literature and how people connect to their communities. Laura knows communities well - she is an active member of her own arts collective group and plays in three bands. Learn more about Laura and her experiences with community.

Meet Rachel Wik.

Rachel is in her fourth year of Law and Society in the Faculty of Communication and Culture. Outside of the classroom, she's a Recycling Ambassador for the Recycling Council of Alberta. Her work will improve recycling plans for the future, and she found a new career to pursue in the process. Learn more about Rachel and her vision for a sustainable future.
