If you are a Canadian citizen or you have taken high school or post-secondary courses in Canada or a Canadian institution, you apply for admission to the University of Calgary using ApplyAlberta.  This provincial application system makes it easy for you to apply for admission and have your transcripts sent to the University of Calgary.

Step 1: Create an account at ApplyAlberta

You will be transferred to ApplyAlberta. The system will prompt you to register for an account with SIAMS (Secure Identity and Access Management System), find or create your Alberta Student Number (ASN) and complete a personal and academic profile that you will use to apply for schools in Alberta. This step is applicable to all students in all provinces.

If you previously applied to a post-secondary institution in Alberta, you may already have an Alberta Student Number (ASN).  You may use the same number to apply for admission to the University of Calgary, and do not need to create a new ASN.

You will only need create this profile information in ApplyAlberta once.

Step 2: Complete the application to the University of Calgary

Once you have completed your personal and academic profile on ApplyAlberta, you will be redirected to the University of Calgary to complete the rest of the application, including selection of your first and second choice programs, and to submit your application fee.

Step 3: Apply for Competitive High School Awards

Until April 1, 2012, you may apply for competitive high school awards. You may apply for awards once you have completed your application for admission and have received your student ID number.

Students apply for awards and bursaries by logging into the myUofC portal and clicking on the "Student Centre" link underneath Quick Links (click here to see a screenshot).

Once inside your Student Centre, you access the application for awards by clicking on the "Apply for Awards" link underneath the Finances section (click here to see a screenshot).

Step 4: Apply for Residence

All first year students who apply for residence before April 30, 2012 are guaranteed a home on campus.
